Industry leader Dr. Heather Mark, Ph.D., CCEP, CAMS joins TrustCommerce, bringing over 17 years of expertise in regulatory compliance, privacy, and data security issues within the payments industry.
SANTA ANA, California, July 16, 2018 —TrustCommerce®, the leading provider of secure electronic payment acceptance and risk management solutions, is pleased to announce Dr. Heather Mark has joined the company as Director of Compliance. Dr. Mark specializes in regulatory compliance, privacy, and data security issues within the payments Industry.
As Director of Compliance, Dr. Mark will oversee internal compliance and security, building on TrustCommerce’s strong foundation, to mature and evolve the program. She will work closely with the Product Teams to ensure compliance and security is included at every step in the development process. Further, Dr. Mark will unify the compliance and security efforts at both TrustCommerce and its sister company Anovia Payments. This dedicated focus further demonstrates TrustCommerce’s proven commitment to the soundness of their payment infrastructure and to being a safe and secure partner for their clients.

Previously, Dr. Mark served in various senior leadership roles, most recently at a wholly-owned subsidiary of a global payment processor, card issuer, and merchant acquirer. Dr. Mark has consulted with many companies on the issue of PCI DSS compliance, and positioning their products and services relative to the compliance obligations of the Payment Industry.
An accomplished author, Dr. Mark has written more than 60 published articles. Further, she is a sought after public speaker on variety of topics including payment processing, data security, privacy and regulatory compliance. Dr. Mark has served on the Electronic Transaction Association’s Government Relations Committee and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Merchant Acquirers’ Committee (MAC). She holds a doctorate degree in Public Administration and Public Policy from Auburn University.
